Brighton!!
Over the weekend we packed up our vintage goodies and headed to the seaside. We stayed in Journeys hostel and shared a room with 16 other girls!! The bunk beds with curtains were very cosy but sometimes there were some unpleasant smells drifting about :-s We went for a wonder around Brighton town and headed to beyond retro warehouse to browse the vintage, I picked up a stunning silver stitched poncho with beading-my early xmas pressy! That night we headed out to brave the Brighton night life, we resisted the hot tub in walkabouts even though Sherri was dressed for the occasion in a retro swimsuit with G-string!!!
The morning of the vintage sale we headed to Brighton race course where the fair was taking place, we set up our stall and floated around hoping to spot some vintage treasures for ourselves!!! Then soon it got extremely busy and we sold lots of our fave bits. There was tea served in china teacups and saucers and delicious muffins and pretty cupcakes. Lucy who was selling Mary Quant stockings and socks spotted a great little gem, black hand made leather hot pants with white pained pattern and large diamond gems over them. well done luc!! After selling most our beloved items the fair was over and we were knackered. All in all we had a fantastic day.
As the evening drew in we headed out this time to the hidden hide outs and Brighton's secret boozers, we managed to stumble across a cute homely pub called the zone. Little did we know we walked into a drag queens 40th birthday party where he\she was the entertainment, of course! After checking out some more random hot spots we called it a night.
We absolutely adored Brighton and can't wait to return.
